Senior product and UI/UX designer based in Edmonton. Ten years designing scalable products, design systems, and data platforms for organizations including Yale University, Emory University, the Environmental Defense Fund, and the Economic Policy Institute. I care about systems thinking, accessibility, and turning complexity into clear, usable products.
A national public health data platform mapping HIV and Hepatitis C prevalence across the United States. Maintained and evolved the design system across multiple annual updates, leading UI for interactive maps, location profiles, and demographic filtering. Focused on hierarchy and accessibility across dense data views, ensuring clarity for both expert and general audiences.
Designed an interactive climate platform that translates 184 indicators across more than 70,000 U.S. census tracts into accessible dashboards and layered geographic visualizations. Led end-to-end UI design, structuring navigation, filters, and map interactions to guide users from high-level insights to detailed regional analysis. Recognized with an Anthem Award.
A reimagined data library that makes U.S. economic inequality easy to explore. Designed the interface system, filters, and data visualizations supporting efficient navigation across large datasets. Built scalable design patterns for long-term platform growth, with strong visual hierarchy and consistency across views.
Additional product and interface design across healthcare, climate, education, and economic policy platforms. Includes dashboards, mapping tools, and large-scale data visualization systems used by research institutions, universities, and public organizations.

I'm a senior product and UI/UX designer with ten years of experience designing dashboards, design systems, and large-scale digital platforms. My work focuses on turning complex information into clear, refined product experiences for organizations that need both rigor and craft. Most recently, I was the only designer at Darkhorse Visualization, where I shipped more than 15 new data platforms across four years and maintained design systems for several long-term client partnerships. I established the design function at Darkhorse from the ground up, including the review process, design-to-development handoff, accessibility standards, and tool adoption. My work has been recognized with back-to-back Anthem Awards in 2024 and 2025.Alongside my professional practice, I teach UX and UI at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and have been invited to contribute industry expertise to senior data visualization coursework at MacEwan University. Teaching keeps my practice sharp and grounded in what the field actually needs.
